Mandy

Yin, Hatha, Prenatal, Vinyasa

Mandy discovered yoga after moving to Arizona in 2014. Being brand new to the area and not having her horses to keep her sane, she decided she desperately needed a hobby. Her good friend had been practicing yoga for quite some time and inspired Mandy to give it a try. She found a yoga video on YouTube and what she found was so much more than a mere hobby. At first, she had no balance and couldn’t touch her toes, but something about the practice kept her coming back for more and more. Shortly after, Mandy began to practice hot yoga at Hot Yoga Ahwatukee and could not believe the transformation that she was feeling not only in her physical body, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Yoga gave Mandy a sense of calm and awareness that she had never felt before and even re-ignited her spirituality which she had suppressed for many years.

Inspired by her amazing teachers at Hot Yoga Ahwatukee, Mandy pursued her 200-hour certification from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Tempe, AZ under Laura McKinzie. She is currently a RYT-200 and has received additional training in Yin Yoga. In addition to yoga, Mandy has a degree in Biology and has received training in Intuitive Angel Guidance from SWIHA under Melissa Corter and enjoys giving intuitive readings utilizing a variety of tools including oracle and tarot cards.

Yoga has taught Mandy so many incredible lessons. This beautiful practice continues to teach Mandy to love and accept her body as it is in the present moment, while also striving to improve without judgement. Mandy truly believes that yoga is for everybody, regardless of background, and loves intuitively crafting sequences that new yogis can enjoy just as much as the seasoned practitioner. It is Mandy’s goal to help her students connect with their bodies in a loving way by moving and breathing with intention.
