Katy is a life loving yogi who began practicing the art of Yoga at 15. She received her 200 hr certification from Core Power Yoga in 2010 and immediately started teaching. She gained experience working for her local gym, holistic center and even brought Yoga to the elementary and high schools in the area. She soon started classes in her own space called “Embrace Yoga,” while attending PSU.

In 2012 Katy traveled to Kona, HI to live in an Ashram for extensive training with the Shambava School of Yoga. This immersion allowed her to access a new style of Yoga (Hatha) & many tools; Pranayama (Breathing practices), Meditation, Kirtan, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga anatomy & Yoga Asana. Once she returned home, she continued school & taught on a regular basis.

In 2014 she moved to Ventura, California. Sunshine and adventure inspired this change, Not only was it fun to live by the Ocean & surf magical waves, Katy explored endless opportunities. She instructed for 2 of the county’s top gyms and her love for fitness expanded her horizons, teaching regular “High.Intensity.Interval.Training” (HIIT) classes.

Katy also taught for “Yoga by the Sea”, an Inferred Hot Yoga Studio, Pure Recovery Rehab Center & instructed many private clients.

Although this lifestyle fulfilled her passion for Yoga, she deeply missed the connection with family. Katy recently moved back home to Oregon with their new Doggy addition (Kona).

Katy is ready to share her tremendous love for Yoga & rebuild a new community of courageous, inspiring yogis.
